Box Storage Cooler & Engine Room Expansion
100,000 sq ft
ILLINOIS
Collaborative Expansion: Gleeson handled the 100,000SF building construction and collaborated with Savoye, the material handling integrator responsible for racking, shuttles, and conveyors. The addition featured a 60-foot-high Box Storage Cooler, Shipping Dock, Welfare Area, Bridge, and Ammonia Engine Room.
Solid Foundations: The building was constructed with structural steel framing on deep caisson foundations and enclosed with insulated metal panel walls.
Bridging Efficiency: Product was conveyed from the main plant to the box cooler through a conveyor bridge.
Seamless Integration with Zero Downtime: Integration of the new expansion was completed with zero downtime hours within an operational beef harvest complex.
